Meet Laura
Hi I’m Laura! I am an artist, an emotional healing art guide and blogger from Pennsylvania. I use art As a powerful tool to Help people heal. It is a great source of emotional and mental expression That in turn brings fresh perspective and healing to an individual.
My Faith in God Is An Integral part of my work. It is my deeply held belief that God has given art as a healing tool for people and even communities around the world. Creativity is a God given gift that encourages us to hope in a dark and seemingly hopeless world.
I love the outdoors and Nature. I often find myself sketching flowers or trees because they bring me joy. The stories of people’s lives as well as my own life experience and Faith experiece inspire My work. My artwork encompasses a wide range of textile, watercolor, portraiture and printmaking. As Most artists will agree, it’s hard to stick to one discipline of Art! So much to create and so little Time!
I love to teach others about creativity and art techniques. I enjoy implementing non-clinical art therapy as a way to deal with stress and help heal emotions. In my in-person Art classes I often use non-clinical techniques to encourage people to create beauty out of their struggle.
The heart of my artwork and my blog is all about how to utilize creativity. How to disocver art making and faith Expression through art as a means of healing from grief, loss, and stress. It is Also A Great Way to Discover a Mode of Self Care for your unique life journey.
Some of my other Writings have been published on HerNexx Chapter a community and support website for women, And on Jenreviews.com a recipe and review website.
If you are grieving the loss of a brother or sister I have written a Creative Action e-book entitled A Song In The Fields. This book is a supportive and creative prompt book to help you Process Your Grief from a sibling’s point of view. In 2018 I lost my older sister Anna to cancer. It was the hardest thing I ever faced and I decided to create a book to encourage others. If you are interested, You can find the e-book here
Please enjoy the blog and website and remember you are never alone! There most certainly can be Beauty Created from the ashes of life!
